Regarding the wave theory. It can be used for forecasting and for trading, but in doing this you need to know the behavior of the market in principle. To understand what it is. Gold is not soybeans, and diesel is not exactly oil.
The question of victory over the modern market lies not in the plane of catching trends, but in the plane of the probability of the occurrence of events.
